What is an NFT Collection
An NFT collection is an assortment of digital assets released by artists/Web3 projects containing a limited number of individual NFTs. Typically, most NFT collections consist of numerous NFTs that all conform to the same artistic style, with slight variations across each individual token.
Creating an NFT Collection is the process of deploying an NFT smart contract on a blockchain where other users can mint NFTs from this collection for a price or for free.
This is different from minting a single NFT: just creating the collection means you deployed the smart contract but you don’t own any NFTs yet. If you want to own an NFT from this collection, you have to mint one yourself after you create the collection.
Issuing an NFT collection is typically used for bulk-selling NFTs (fundraising).
